After-School Clay

Weekly sessions culminating in an art show!

Join us for a play time in the garden followed by plenty of time to work with clay in the studio. Students can come with their own ideas or pick from some examples to get their creativity flowing! Each student receives individualized instruction based on their skill level and interests, and will inspire each other with their creations. Learn to use basic hand-building techniques, the slab roller, explore textures, and get a chance to try the pottery wheel. More advanced techniques such as sgraffito and slab-built boxes are also possible during longer-term classes!

We will be creating hand-built works of art as well as usable dishware with white stoneware clay and non-toxic glaze. Snacks are provided!

Fall Class options:

•All Schools - Tuesday Afternoons. Drop-off at the studio, short play time and snacks, and clay!

8 week session - January 13-March 17, 3, 3:30-5:30

Ages 6-11 - $275

•Glencoe - SOLD OUT- Wednesday afternoons. Includes pickup from Glencoe Elementary, walk to the studio, snacks and playtime and creating with clay. Early release pickup January 14 and February 11 at 11:50!

10 week session - January 7-March 18, 2:30-5:00

Ages 6-11 - $400.
